THE MATERIAL / THE METHOD

The essentials.
Nothing overlooked.

Developed in collaboration with sword polishers. The harder version brings that foundation-polishing approach to a wider community.

Binder & formula
A harder version, made with a new formula and a new resin binder. This is Luzi's proprietary formula.
Cutting
Very fast cutting for wide-bevel foundation work.
Scratch pattern
Very shallow scratches, easier to refine away with natural stones.
Grit sizes
240 / 400 / 1000 / 3000 / 6000
Intended work
Wide-bevel foundation polishing, laying the groundwork for natural-stone stages.
Surface preparation
Each stone is personally hand-flattened on a micron-level-flat granite surface, then hand-polished.
Edges
All edges chamfered by hand.
Recommended progression
240 → 400 → 1000 → 3000 → natural stones

THE POLISHING DIFFERENCE

Fast cutting.
Very shallow scratches.

Speed is only half the story. Luzi's proprietary formula gives very fast cutting and very shallow scratches, for wide-bevel polishing before natural stones.

THE USUAL DIAMOND-STONE PITCH

Fast cutting.

Impressive stock removal is an easy selling point. But speed alone says little about the scratches you still have to remove.

LUZI / FOR POLISHERS

Fast cutting.
Shallow scratches.

Luzi's proprietary formula delivers very fast cutting and very shallow scratches. Its resin-bonded diamond abrasive is built for actual wide-bevel polishing, not just stock removal.

Those shallow marks are easier to refine away in the natural-stone stages that follow. The foundation should help the finish, not fight it.

Cutting speed, scratch depth, and refinement vary with grit, steel, pressure, and technique.
